How your payments work
You set it up once. After that, we only request payment when there is something to pay.
We clean
Your windows are cleaned as agreed. Nothing is charged just because another month has passed.
We request payment
After the clean, we request the correct amount and confirm your windows have been cleaned.
You’re notified
You receive advance notice showing the amount and collection date. Contact us if anything looks wrong.
Payment is collected
The payment is collected automatically on the date shown. No cash or bank transfer is needed.
No clean means no new cleaning charge. Any genuine outstanding balance for earlier completed work may also be collected after setup.
Frequently asked questions
Will you charge me every month regardless?
No. This is a variable Direct Debit, not a fixed monthly subscription. We request payment after a completed clean or when there is a genuine outstanding balance.
Do I need to approve every payment?
No. GoCardless sends advance notice showing the amount and collection date. If anything appears incorrect, contact us promptly so we can investigate.
Can I cancel the Direct Debit?
Yes. You can cancel the instruction through your bank. Cancelling it does not remove payment already owed for completed work.
What if a payment is incorrect?
Contact us straight away. Direct Debit payments are also protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
Is GoCardless secure?
Yes. GoCardless securely processes the Direct Debit. Your bank details are not disclosed to The Cardiff Window Cleaning Company.
