Capital Quarter is an exciting 7.3 acre mixed use Cardiff City Centre development with outline planning for over 700,000 sq.ft. of development to include offices, hotels, student housing and education uses.
The first phase of this development Number One, Capital Quarter was completed in March 2014.
To showcase the building, The Cardiff Window Cleaning Company were called in to ensure that the building looked its best.
This was a large project. The exterior would require our team of IRATA qualified Cardiff Abseil Window Cleaners, whilst the insides would require a 7 man team to remove tape, plaster, cement, silicone and any other debris that had stuck to the window. This all had to be completed within the 5 day timeframe required, and time was running out.
The glass canopy that runs around the ground floor of the building would also require a lot of our attention. Working off scaffold towers, we were able to remove lots of silicone that had fallen onto the canopy.
Emilio Evangelista, Project Manager comments: “We knew that the window cleaning on this project was going to demand a lot from our team, but we were excited to work on such a beautifully designed building. The planning, risk assessments and method statements alone took much time. But it was worth the hard work. The building looks great-we’re really proud to work on such a prestigious development in the centre of Cardiff.”
The Cardiff Window Cleaning Company are excited at what JR Smart has in store for the future.
